If there’s one thing I’m frequently asked about becoming a freelancer, it’s usually something like this:
How did you manage to quit your full-time job and do your own thing? What was that like for you?
Typically, this question comes from people who are interested in doing that very same thing—leaving the comfort and security of their full-time gigs in order to start their own businesses—but have no idea where to start.
When you’re thinking about venturing off on your own, seemingly endless amounts of questions bubble to the surface (trust me, I get it, I’ve been there). And, while I recognize that everybody’s path is different, I still do my best to share my experience with other prospective freelancers and solopreneurs.
So, recently, I did something totally new to me: I was a guest on a podcast. The podcast is called Career Relaunch, and I think it’s absolutely awesome (but, I might be a little biased). Each episode features an interview with someone who essentially relaunched their own career. The stories are inspirational and interesting, and its quickly become one of my favorite podcasts.
Anyway, I’d love if you’d check out my interview and listen to my story. Just click the graphic below:
Whether you’re currently in the throes of trying to get your freelance business off the ground or are still attempting to gather the courage to leave your full-time, job, I hope it’s helpful to you!
Now, get out there and make things happen, party people!
