My Midwest roots run deep. I love cheese (give me sharp cheddar any day of the week), I wear my green and gold on Sundays, and you can bet I’ll show up on your doorstep with my favorite hot dish to celebrate any meaningful milestone in your life.

But, here’s the great thing about today’s working world: While I love being a Wisconsin gal, I’ve never been limited by location. Thanks to technology, I’m able to connect with people all over the globe—while working from my cozy home office in a quaint Wisconsin town (with my dogs at my feet and my favorite sweatpants on, of course).

Whether it's collaborating with clients and publications or advising other freelancers who are looking to take the leap themselves, relationships today really know no borders. And, if you ask me, that makes my career a whole lot easier—and a heck of a lot more enjoyable.
